Selenite is one of the finest stones for cleansing our energy and the environment. Often, energy slows down, leading to feelings of heaviness and lethargy over time. Due to its ability to draw out heat, Selenite is best placed on the body (especially behind your head) and in the corners of the room. Energy flows rapidly through Selenite, and this effect then expands throughout the room or the body.

Commonly known as a ‘cleansing’ crystal, Selenite's actions are more aligned with the absorption of stagnant energies and their processing in the superficial layers of the Body-Mind system. It has exceptional light conductivity, making it an ideal crystal for lamps and accent points of light throughout the room.

It is part of the Gypsum group that includes Alabaster and Desert Rose. High-quality selenite is transparent and is typically sold in slab form. Due to its soft nature (2 on the Mohs Scale), it is often used to create carvings and plates for grinding work. The advantages of using a selenite plate for gridding work combine the geometrical energy of the grid with selenite’s fast-moving energies.

Care Instructions: Cleanse and charge in Hematite. Selenite dissolves in water if soaked.
